Yeah, I used it in gnome.  Something I could do w/ previous releases of K3B.

BTW, I assume you're using a 2.5 kernel to be able to burn w/out SCSI 
emulation?  I wouldn't expect too much software to support it, seeing as how 
they are development kernels, and are quickly moving targets (;

I'm rather dissapointed in k3b. During 8.0 days, it was the best burning app I 
ever used in Linux (very close to being as good as Nero in win32) but now 
there is a large void left by it being broken ):
