What works for me is to tie the mac address to the interface. i.e. add the mac address to the interface script - just put HWADDR='your mac address here' in /etc/sysconfig/ifcfg-eth1 for your wireless. You can get the mac/HWaddr address from running 'ifconfig' while the wireless is up.
