uname -a isn't that usefull it says: i686 i686 i386
Its not obvious which suffix rpm was installed..

The way to find out the suffix of the currently installed kernel rpm is:

 rpm -qa --qf '%{name}-%{version}-%{release}.%{arch}\n' |grep kernel
