Admittedly, I have a strange board for using lm_sensors on. It's a Tyan 2466N dual Athlon. There's some strange things one needs to do to get it going on this board, but you can find the information readily enough. Although the command `sensors' works as expected, when I try to configure "sensors" in gkrellm, it immediately disappears. The whole thing. Instantly. I don't see any bugs about this in bugzilla. Is this particular to my setup, or are others of you out there seeing problems with gkrellm and your sensors setup as well?
