You need to provide more information in your messages.  What does
"didn't work" mean?  Gave an error message?  Appeared to make the change
but didn't?  Made the change to /etc/X11/XF86Config properly but X still
didn't work?   Just saying something "didn't work" is really of no help.

Also this list (shrike-list@xxxxxxxxxx) is for Red Hat Linux 9, not
"RH8" (I assume you actually meant Red Hat Linux 8.0, for which the list
is psyche-list@xxxxxxxxxx).  Please post your questions to the
appropriate forum.
