I wonder how can I use redhat-config-xfree86 package to change my monitor resolution and options without having X!
The problem is that I can't actually use X because of the improperly set resolution.

#redhat-config-xfree86 --help

something like
#redhat-config-xfree86 --set-resolution xxx xxx ??

The syntax would be: # redhat-config-xfree86 --set-resolution=1024x768 I've also successfully used 800x600, 1280x1024, 640x480

I do not know what all the valid choices are.

I tried this in RH8 but didn't work! Any idea? Please help...
