If you are knowledgable enough to modify the spec files and/or recompile the
dependancies for your platform, you can simply build these from the .src.rpm
and get the same results.

Now if you're talking about packages from .tar.gz, Depending on how fast
your box is, you could in theory recompile those packages for your use, but
they wouldn't be Red Hat supported.
