Seems unlikely since the > yenta_socket is very common and should be enabled in a default install. easy enough to check -- go into /lib/modules/<whatver>/kernel/drivers/pcmcia, and see if you have a yenta_socket.o file. also, does the file /proc/devices have a "pcmcia" line in it? rday
