I used k3b fine (kde3.1.1) under RH8.0, but after updating to RH9 it doesn't work.
k3bsetup doesn't detect my cdwriter. It detects the drive as a reader instead.
The drive is found as /dev/scd0, which is correct. It seems like it is not able to read all the info, though, because it doesn't show any model or other info.
Any hints?
In my case, my cdreader was detected as /dev/scd1. The reader was called /dev/scd0.
Anyway, both worked with this scheme. Try changing your burner's symlink to /dev/scd1.
