Request for recommended Utilization Monitoring Tool

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi guys -

A few weeks ago I posted a request for "System Monitoring Tool." I
received many good responses, but I realized that I must have phrased my
request incorrectly, because the software that people recommended is not
what I am looking for.

Hence the repost under a slightly different subject line.

What I'm looking for is a recommended "Utilization Monitoring Tool" that
keeps a local record of cpu load, load average, number of processes,
network usage, memory usage (plus other performance characteristics if
available) and produces historic graphs of this data.

Preferably I'd like something that is maintained, and does not require
snmp or a running X server.

I looked at "HotSaNIC" and it's a cool tool, and the developer is
responsive, however on my systems it has been buggy and the
documentation is not maintained.
