Greetings, list.

I have a P4S533-MX motherboard with an Intel P4 (onboard SiS651
video).

I installed RH 8.0, everything was ducky.

I fired up 'up2date' and updated all my packages (and kernel).

Now, xwindows won't work any more.

I tried creating a new XF86Config file (with generic and sis drivers),
no dice.

I tried booting to the old kernel, nope.

I looked at dmesg, and it looks ok.

I tried a modprobe and got:

/lib/modules/2.4.20-20.8/kernel/arch/i386/kernel/speedstep.o:
init_module: No such device
(but I don't think that's the problem)

My kernel: 2.4.20-20.8.

My X stuff:

[root@luke X11]# rpm -qa | grep X
Xaw3d-1.5-16
perl-XML-Encoding-1.01-20
Xtest-2.0-1
XFree86-Mesa-libGL-4.2.1-21

XFree86-base-fonts-4.2.1-21

Any help is appreciated!
