Re: how to make a print server on linux / share printer connected to linux pc on windows

hi all,
i am unable to print anything on my hp laserjet 5l  thru redhat 9 , i
disconnected the pinter restarted & again rebooted & restarted it detects
the hardware & says it has configured the printer but when i try to print
anything there is an error message saying " lpr unable to print file
srver-error-service-unavailable "


i tried the below commands too but it doesnt work
cups chkconfig cups on
service cups restart

this printer works fine when connected to windows , please help
