Yes I got the emails

Personally, I am not interested in answering vague questions from
someone who boots into the GUI and then wonders how to make things work.
Sending him to win-modem.org to make his modem work would probably be
pointless.

I thought that he would get the point - that this is open source
software and it implies a contract that the user would go to the efforts
to learn to make things work and there are many of us who will help.

Thus at this point, the bone to throw to him is the Red Hat
documentation page for RH 9
