I don't believe that is accurate. Not with a simple ssh connection from
the windows box to the linux box. The connection will be encrypted with
ssh but the GUI from the linux machine won't appear on the windows
machine. You can run VNC server on the linux machine and the VNC client
on windows and get the GUI though.
