Problem with passwd

[MyLists <mylists@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>]

Anyone seen any problems when trying to change your password?  The only 
thing configured off beat from a standard install is the fact that when 
I change my password, the samba password file is also updated.

Here is what Im experiencing.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

[mike@xxxxx mike]$ passwd
Changing password for user mike.
Changing password for mike
(current) UNIX password:
passwd: Module is unknown
[mike@xxxxx mike]$
