Trying to get wireless to work...

All,

I'm trying to get my new Linksys Wireless-G pcmcia card to work in laptops
that run both RH8.0 and RH7.3. This card supports 802.11a,b and g. You
would think that at least one driver in the wireless package would support
this card, yet I don't seem to be able to configure this card properly.

First off the redhat-config-network application blows its brains out with
Python errors every time I try to add a wireless eth0 device in RH7.3, so
I'm hosed right out of the gate with RH7.3.

Things are better with RH8.0 as I can add devices to the eth0 interface,
but the Wireless-G is not one of them. I've tried a number of devices
that result in wavelan, netwave, orinoco drivers being loaded but nothing
seems to work.

In fact, I'm not even sure the card itself is properly recognized because
the eth0 interface keeps dissapearing although cardctl has no problem
interogating the card.

I was kindof hoping this would be as easy as inserting the card and having
the interface "just come up" like my DE-650 card does.

So..... I guess the question is, does RH not support the Linksys
Wireless-G and is there are fairly cookbookish procedure for getting one
of these running. I've been to some of the wireless How-To's but these
are vague and not very specific (in my opinion).
