-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I've noticed what may be a related problem. This has existed in the 7.x series, and I just replicated it under 8.0 (with all updates). My linux box has ext2 filesystems and fat32 filesystems. I have some of each shared via Samba. Within the linux box, I can copy or move large files among the various filesystems with no problem. From my Win2K box, I can copy large files onto the Samba shares that have ext2 filesystems underlying them. I can copy small files (a couple dozen megabytes) onto Samba shares with either ext2 or fat32 filesystems underlying them. However, if I attempt to copy a large file onto a Samba share that has a fat32 filesystem under it, the transfer starts and proceeds for a couple of minutes, then stops. I get a popup on the Win2K box saying that the network device is no longer available. Right after this, I can click on the share under the Win2K "My Network Places", and things seem just fine. In fact, on at least one occasion, I see the file there that failed during the copy, claiming to be the full size of the file, but the contents are not correct. I just tried it again, and successfully copied a file of 179 Megabytes and one of 251 Meg, but a couple days ago, it failed when I tried copying a file of > 300 Meg.
