Did not work for me. My guess is that I have j2sdk-1.4.1_02-fcs from java.sun
installed. However, the blackstone is for j2sdk-1.4.1-01. Installation details
shown below. The java plugin shows up in Mozilla, but if I link to something
that uses java Mozilla hangs.

Do you see anything I missed?

I guess I either wait for a gcc 3.2 from sun or I rpm -e the sun version and
install the blackstone version.

Sun version of java installed:

[root@xxxxxxx root]# rpm -qa | grep -i j2
j2sdk-1.4.1_02-fcs

Installed Mozilla 1.3

[root@xxxxxxx root]# rpm -qa | grep -i mozilla
mozilla-1.3-0_rh8_xft
mozilla-nss-1.3-0_rh8_xft
mozilla-psm-1.3-0_rh8_xft
mozilla-nspr-1.3-0_rh8_xft

downloaded the Blackstone version of java

[admin@xxxxxxx admin]$ d j2sdk-1.4.1-01-linux-i586-gcc3.2.bin
-rwxr----- 1 admin admin 39M Mar 28 11:49
j2sdk-1.4.1-01-linux-i586-gcc3.2.bin*

Extracted the plugin and copied it to the java plugin location and inserted
the required symbolic link

[admin@xxxxxxx mozilla]$ pwd
/home/admin/j2sdk1.4.1/jre/plugin/i386/mozilla
[admin@xxxxxxx mozilla]$ d
total 260K
drwxr-xr-x 2 admin admin 4.0K Jan 13 10:03 ./
drwxr-xr-x 4 admin admin 4.0K Feb 11 12:10 ../
-rw-r--r-- 1 admin admin 244K Jan 13 10:03 javaplugin_oji.so

Copied blackstone version after renaming the sun version:

[root@xxxxxxx ns610]# pwd
/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.1_02/jre/plugin/i386/ns610

[root@xxxxxxx ns610]# d
total 532K
drwxr-xr-x 2 root bin 4.0K Mar 28 14:46 ./
drwxr-xr-x 5 root bin 4.0K Mar 28 14:24 ../
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root bin 244K Mar 28 14:33 libjavaplugin_oji.so*
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root bin 267K Feb 20 17:07 libjavaplugin_oji.so.org*

Symbolic link:

[root@xxxxxxx plugins]# pwd
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
[root@xxxxxxx plugins]# d
total 1.6M
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4.0K Mar 28 14:39 ./

Thank you for the help.
