How does one make the xscreensaver, which is also the "Lock Screen" option, work with the root account?

Hello,

Are you trying as root? It's because XScreensaver not run with that account, but with another one it must work properly.

In any case, if you have doubt about the integrity of XScreensaver, you can try rpm -V <scrensaver_name_version.arch>.rpm and check the result.

Best regards,
P.C.
