You'll have to reconfigure your ATAPI cdrom as an emulated scsi device using the ide-scsi module. I won't tell you how to do this, but I'll tell you how to figure it out... do "lsmod" and itentify all the modules that are associated with your cdrom. Then do "modinfo" for every one of these modules (eg, "modinfo ide-cd", "modinfo cdrom", "modinfo ide-scsi" and so on)... you'll so see what modules to load and what options to give to them. (BTW, no need to reboot just to rmmod and modprobe driver modules). There is a howto for this, btw (http://www.tldp.org/) > Thank you, You get this working, no problem.
