It doesn't matter what you do, if you mix people you cannot trust with
implicit access to sensitive information, they will get hold of it. A
lot (most ?) cracking comes from the inside...

Suggestions:

- Seperate students from sensitive data (best)
- Find the brightest hacker/cracker amongst the students and give
him/her a project to work out how to protect the data. This may work.

Bear in mind you may actually be breaking the law by inadequately
protecting sensitive information..depending where you live of course...
and the nature of the information.

Seriously, the first suggestion is the best. You are trying to solve a
sociological problem with software. When someone is on the inside, it is
much easier...to be bad.
