Go to the Grub command line by pressing c at the grub screen 2. type: find /boot/grub/stage2 (if /boot is part of /), or find /grub/stage2 (if /boot is it's own partition) 3. from the list of partitions that appear, select a likely customer, say (hd0,0) and do: root (hd0,0) 4. If everything looks okay so far (no error messages), then do: setup (hd0), to install stage1 of grub into the mbr of the first disk that the BIOS recognises. 5. You have finished! 6.
