Anyone else here have trouble getting a command history to work with the perl CPAN shell (perl -MCPAN -e shell)? I have the readline rpms installed. rpm -qa |grep readline readline-4.3-3 readline-devel-4.3-3 As well as the perl modules Term::ReadLine Term::ReadLine::Gnu In the .cpan directory I see a histfile and it has a few commands in it. But I can't seem to access them. Trying the bash esque up arrow gives me "A". Trying for vi type syntax press ESC then k types ^[k.
