I just downloaded the latest linux-2.5.59.tar.bz2 file from kernel.org, bunzipped in in /usr/src, and tried 'make rpm'. After several hundred lines of initial output, the process failed with this output: + make oldconfig dep clean bzImage modules make[1]: *** No rule to make target `oldconfig'. Stop. error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.72887 (%build) RPM build errors: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.72887 (%build) make: *** [rpm] Error 1 Running a fully up2updated RH8 system. Does 'make rpm' work for anyone else? --Doc Savage Fairview Heights, IL -- Psyche-list mailing list Psyche-list@redhat.com https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/psyche-list
