Why are there multiple mounts to nearly the same directory ?
Im using NFS install of phoebe-beta, and trying to pull from groucho, an 8.0 box.
[jimc@groucho jimc]$ showmount -a groucho
All mount points on groucho:
10.0.0.3:/mnt/a/large-a10/jimc
10.0.0.3:/mnt/a/large-a10/jimc/rh-phoebe
10.0.0.3:/mnt/a/large-a10/jimc/rh-phoebe/RedHat
10.0.0.3:/mnt/a/large-a10/jimc/rh80
harpo.jimc.earth:/
[jimc@groucho jimc]$
10.0.0.3 is the phoebe in waiting, which is currently getting jilted at the altar.
[jimc@groucho jimc]$ more /etc/exports
#
# sample /etc/exports file
# root export apparently confuses that to 10.0.0.0
#/ *.jimc.earth(rw,sync,no_root_squash)
/projects proj*.local.domain(rw,sync)
/usr *.local.domain(ro,sync) @trusted(rw,sync)
#/home/joe pc001(rw,all_squash,anonuid=150,anongid=100)
/pub *(ro,sync,hide,insecure,root_squash,all_squash)
/mnt/a/large-a10/jimc 10.0.0.0/8(ro,insecure,all_squash,nohide)
[jimc@groucho jimc]$
10.0.0.3 should have no memory of previous install attempts,
nor should groucho for that matter - those were yesterdays attempts, with power-down between.
it appears that theres a cache somewhere !?
