Hi Bruce, 

What are the exact problems you are having?  I'm sure lots of people 
here have set up and use CVS regularly (myself included). Someone will 
be able to help you if you give more information about what you are 
trying to do, and what problems you have encountered.

I recommend the 'CVS Pocket Reference' by Gregor N. Purdy, published by 
O'Reilly.
