by the way... sendmail is working as i can send an email from a php
script...

there should be some script/command to purge/stop msgs from being resent...

Are you sure you don't have some cron job running or something
that is cranking out NEW messages?

What are the nature of the messages?
ie  Is is a regular mail message that you (someone) is trying to
send to someone, and fails?
Or more like the status of something that ran/failed.

Just by default, you can plan on root to get a status report
mailed to it once or twice a day.  And if you have other things
setup, more.  And lots of process that don't a tty associated
with it, will get the output mailed to the user or root.
cron is a good example of this.

but new mail each time.
