Hate to answer my own, but I resolved the issue. First, I configured vsftpd as a standalone. The minute I did that everything took off. After reading bugzilla, it seemed prudent to download 1.1.13 from rawhide. Its install defaults to a standalone install with a new vsftpd folder in /etc. Hate to think about the time wasted on what should have been a simple and straightforward task. ---------- Original Message ----------- From: "Mike Vanecek" <rh_lists@mm-vanecek.com> To: "Psyche-List" <psyche-list@redhat.com> Sent: Tue, 28 Jan 2003 14:29:55 -0600 Subject: vsftpd connects then sleeps > VSFTP is killing me ... > > Here are my config settings: > > anonymous_enable=YES > hide_ids=YES [snip] > Here is the xinet.d script > [snip - not used now] > I see it start and get the howdy message.
