Samba and Server Access

I have finally succeeded in setting up an account on my Linux box that
can be accessed by my XP computer.

My network is as follows: Buck on HP computer: DEER, Mac on HP Computer:
TIGER, (both running XP) and a Compaq computer: Penguin (running Linux,
of course) are all configured in the Wildlife workgroup. User Buck on
Deer can access /home/buck on Penguin from XP. Now the question is,
"Can I do that again?" Only time will tell. lol

When I setup Samba according to the instructions, I had to setup a user
account on Penguin for Buck and Mac so they have access to the computer
from the keyboard, and then setup accounts in Samba so they have remote
access. When Buck logs on from DEER, he sees his folder: /home/buck and
all files and folders inside including all the hidden Linux files set
him up as a Linux user.

What I need to do now is to setup Buck and Mac in a user group on
Penguin that can only have access remotely and can only access one
folder branch (Oasis). After that I will want to setup a second group
called "Processors" and a folder called "Processing" which will be their
exclusive access. Finally I want to setup an "Admin" account for myself
to have access to the entire Linux computer remotely or at the keyboard.

I realize this is too much for one to answer on this forum, but maybe
someone can point me in the right direction or outline the steps I need
to lookup in the books.

Thank you all for your help.

Buck
