Glad I could help.

The --redhatprovides functionallity is only available if you have 
installed the rpmdb-redhat package. 'rpm --help' provides usage info for 
the --redhatprovides and --redhatrequires flags.

$ rpm -q rpmdb-redhat
rpmdb-redhat-8.0-0.20020910

The package provides an alternate rpm database, containing the entire 
contents of the distribution. Useful stuff.
