If you made a "rescue" disk when you were asked during setup, you can use that to boot back into Linux, then run

grub-install /dev/sda (or /dev/hda for IDE)

ofcourse you need to add a section to you /boot/grub/grub.conf

title Winders
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
chainloader +1

this is assiming that windows is on the first harddisk and the first partition, which I think Microshaft requires... and linux is.

title Red Hat Linux (2.4.18-18.8.0smp)
root (hd1,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.18-18.8.0smp ro root=LABEL=/
initrd /initrd-2.4.18-18.8.0smp.img

on the second hard disk, first partition :)

I have a dual boot with windows XP and I need to reinstall windows. After
installing windows that should get rid of the boot loader. How can I get
it back so I can boot into linux?
