It's probably just the Xft memory leak caused by lack of the RENDER
extension - all your GNOME and KDE apps are most likely leaking too,
just not as fast as the terminal does.

Grab the Xft packages from ftp://people.redhat.com/hp/testing/
and see if they help the problem.
