As a followup, I tried starting evolution from a terminal. In addition to the GUI error message I described in my prior message, I got the following message in the terminal: evolution-shell-WARNING **: Cannot access Bonobo/ConfigDatabase on wombat: (IDL:OAF/GeneralError:1.0) The bonobo rpm is installed -- remember, evolution worked for a while.
