Do a 'man keymaps' and you should get enough info on how to change the key-mapping to your liking. =>These seems to be char-mode only. For X it seems 'xmodmap' is your friend. I haven't used any of them, as I said -the default setup is fine for me :) Good suggestion. Also, get the excellent xkeycaps from Jamie Zawinski.
