Yes.

But be careful of your terminology.  There is a software subsystem
called autofs, which is often refered to as the automounter.  It's
used to automatically mount (usually) NFS partitions from one of
potentially multiple sources, though it can be used to mount local
partitions too.  You don't need it, and would do well to avoid the
term "automount" in regard to mounting partitions at boot time.
