	Not really.  Many more people are very happy with what RH has done with
8.0 than not.  However, if you want an alternative to Metacity try XFce
(or more specifically xfwm, the window manager).  Metacity ended up
being an attempt to build something that already existed (and was far
more mature and capable).  You can then run GNOME2 on top of xfwm and be
happy as a clam.
