Yup, same here, I'm keeping all mine on 7.3 until there is a fix and not
just the workaround (which does work btw)

I've also mentioned regarding this and just told to use the workaround, 
IMHO it does seem poor that this hasn't been fixed, as the package
management system is a major part of RedHat or any distro.

Seen I'm building new rpms on a daily basis (for workstations an
personal usage), I get at least several lock ups a week (I've now got
used to it)
