Thanks Jesse! Yes, now that you mention it, Roxio ships "Easy CD Creator" with "Direct CD" as I recall. I believe media created by Direct CD can only be read by computers equipped with that program. I've used "Easy CD Creator", but not "Direct CD".

Yes, this new Philips technology, "Mount Rainier", eliminates the need for software utilities. Here's a link of possible interest:
