See "Archive actions" as some sort of filtering feature. If you want to drop any actions from the list of pending/failed/completed actions, but don't want to delete them forever, you can archive them. I think all this explained on the individual pages themselves. > I want the action to execute, not > reside in a dead file somewhere. You cannot "execute" actions at RHN. You can only schedule actions to be executed when your machine polls RHN. If your machine doesn't poll RHN periodically (e.g. via rhnsd), you must run "rhn_check" manually. I think the problem you have with RHN is that you should describe *what* you want to achieve and NOT how you want to achieve it. If you log in at RHN and put errata packages on the list of scheduled actions, you must run "rhn_check" on your machine to poll RHN for those queued actions. That will execute those actions on your machine. Another and easier way to apply errata packages would be to run the Red Hat Update Agent "up2date -u" manually. You would not need to use the RHN web site at all. - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE98piX0iMVcrivHFQRArxdAJ9cuQQk5UEBtN6FSQOpvPVh0BqotgCdFC7F /16IFkcFZdJZ+ZY9RS3jCIU= =KY6S -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- Psyche-list mailing list Psyche-list@redhat.com https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/psyche-list
