Cups has quite a lot of documentation but it isn't organized in a

Is there a walk thru for setting up cups on Redhat or at least on linux?

http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-8.0-Manual/custom-guide/s1-printing-cups.html

I looked at that prior to posting... Its about selecting cups as
printer software, not about actually setting up cups.

Did you look at the bottom of the page, where it tells you to "open a Web browser and connect to the URL http://localhost:631";?
This is where I configured my printers, and it worked fine.

You can also get there by clicking on the RedHat => Extras => System Tools => CUPS Printer Configuration
