How can windows users connect to a linux machine using SSH? -----Original Message----- From: Jesse Keating [mailto:hosting@j2solutions.net] Sent: Monday, November 25, 2002 11:49 AM To: psyche-list@redhat.com Subject: Re: securetty file On Monday 25 November 2002 07:24, Brian York uttered: > I must have miss typed the file name. Does anyone know what might cause that? *cough* You're just asking for trouble. telnet sends usernames/passwords, everything in plain text. Your password will be easier to pick up than bread from the store. I highly suggest you switch to SSH, which is not a plain text protocol, and also it currently allows for root logins. -- Jesse Keating For Web Services and Linux Consulting, Visit --> j2Solutions.net Mondo DevTeam (www.mondorescue.org) Was I helpful?
