How can windows users connect to a linux machine using SSH?

*cough*  You're just asking for trouble.  telnet sends usernames/passwords, 
everything in plain text.  Your password will be easier to pick up than
bread 
from the store.

I highly suggest you switch to SSH, which is not a plain text protocol, and 
also it currently allows for root logins.
