Nice app, however I'm looking something along the lines of signal strength
and quality.  It would come in handy for wireless site surveys with my
Psyche laptop.

GKrellm, http://web.wt.net/~billw/gkrellm/gkrellm.html, has the facility
to monitor wireless devices. 

If I understand the Zaurus correctly, it's linux based - so the client
should compile on RedHat (might take a lot of work - but should be
possible to get running). Maybe this report I'm writing is making me
think too simply!
