Interesting. The only difference is that mine reports in as revision 91
instead of 90. Otherwise, everything you have is something set on mine.
Output below:

00:04.0 Ethernet controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] SiS900
10/100 Ethernet (rev 91)

It is also enabled in the CMOS settings.

I think something has changed with a driver in the new revision - anyone
running a Rev 91 edition of this controller and have it working?

    Mine is working fine also. in my /etc/modules.conf I have the entry:
    
      alias eth0 sis900
    
    What do you see if you do an lspci? I show:
    
        00:03.0 Ethernet controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] SiS900 
    10/100 Ethernet (rev 90)
    
    Have you looked at you BIOS settings, just to make sure it's not DISABLED?
    
    I'm using an ECS K7S5A   mobo.
