Wether it works or not is a complete dice roll. It may work by fluke, and many people claim it does work. It is important however to realize why it isn't guaranteed to work, and is highly likely to have problems. I won't go into details however, since the topic has been greatly discussed already and is in the list archives. All mainstream Linux distributions are either using gcc 3.x as their primary compiler already, or will be in the near future. Hopefully Nvidia will realize this, and rebuild their software with a compatible compiler rather than putting a blindfold on. Either way however, it is they who have to support their drivers, so if they don't work, they're the ones who get the bug reports. Be sure to report any problems you do end up having with their drivers directly to support@nvidia.com or other support forums that reach their developers. They're only likely to fix problems if enough people report the problems to justify the work being done. Hope this helps. -- Mike A.
