Gene, 

Thanks for the mplayer link.  It installed great and runs OK, but it
unfortunately does not cope with Windows Media files.

The xine rpm files were great - installed with so much ease compared to
previous.  I guess I'm too used to windows installing from a setup
file!  Anyway, tried to access the Windows Media files and...
