Gene, Thanks for the mplayer link. It installed great and runs OK, but it unfortunately does not cope with Windows Media files. Jonas, The xine rpm files were great - installed with so much ease compared to previous. I guess I'm too used to windows installing from a setup file! Anyway, tried to access the Windows Media files and still does not open and play the file. Keeps asking me what application I'd like to use to run the file with. Have tried telling it to use xine and mplayer, but does not work either way. I'm sure it must be to do with some sort of plugin or some sort of command line option that needs to be used? Does anyone have any successful experience of paying windows media files using xine? Thanks, Neil.
