Don't have the any answers- but I've not had any problems using null, or
psyche to date.

the only thing I have for configuration is:
alias eth0 3c59x in /etc/modules.conf

Sorry I don't have any useful answers.

i have a dell inspiron 8200 with rh7.3, rh8, and win xp. it has an
internal 3Com network card that uses the 3c59x driver. the message log
file has it listed as a 3Com pci 3c905c tornado. it works in rh
7.3, but it (eth0) fails to activate on boot using rh8, and i can't get
it to work using the network config program. trying to activate it
there also fails. it's connected to a 4 port dsl router which assigns
ip addys automatically and the router works with 3 other dell inspirons,
2 other pc card nics, and 3 different rh7.3 kernels. i think it's safe
to say that the rh8 eth0 driver is at fault.

i don't know what to do next. there are no errata about this at redhat,
and a quick skim of the psyche list didn't reveal any reported problems
or solutions.

thanks,
