Not only do I Google, but I apparently typo too.  D'oh.  Yes, I meant apic.

You say 'linux adic' - are you sure you don't mean 'linux apic'? I've
got a 
similar box, albeit running 7.2. Ran into a similar problem and the
'apic' 
option solved it fine.
