Dear Chris,

AFAIK auth_ldap is part of Apache server since version 2.0.41, but in
Red Hat Linux is version 2.0.40 only

There were some security vulnerabilities discovered in older versions
and released version 2.0.43, we will se if there will be new package
with corrected 2.0.40 or 2.0.43 with LDAP support.

>From apache.org: "This release fixes a security problem described in
CAN-2002-0840 on cve.mitre.org. It also fixes some bugs from 2.0.42
(and earlier) as well as adding some additional capability. All users
of Apache 2.0.42 and prior are urged to upgrade as soon as possible."

2.0.43 was released 3 weeks ago, this is unusual delay for Redhat.
