I use vsftpd too! It works great, and it is VERY VERY fast. I ftp'd (on a local network) a 34MB file, and it was done SO fast I actually thought the download didn't happen. My only beef with vsftpd is that on some messages it displays, it shows a series of funny characters (like ^H^H^H^H) or something like that.
